Job Summary

Student will support research and evaluation work happening in the Outdoor Education and Youth Development Lab. The OEYD lab seeks to improve the state of knowledge on recreation as an avenue for promoting youth development and enhancing quality of life for all.

Work-Study within the lab involves a range of tasks including data entry, transcription work, literature searches, article screening, and other research support services.

Responsibilities

Prepares, verifies and enters data into computerized information systems.

Corrects audio transcripts for research involving youth recreation programs.

Screens academic abstracts/articles related to outdoor education programs.

Students interested in the lab’s research projects may also assist with reviewing literature, writing papers, interviewing study subjects, administering surveys, and analyzing data. During the academic school year, work study students have the option to participate in lab meetings.
