Position Summary: Under the direction of the Child and Adolescent Group Services Clinical Supervisor, the Transportation and Crisis Supervisor has two primary responsibilities: overseeing day-to-day client and program staff safety, and overseeing the day-to-day activities of client transportation. Services take place in the office, at schools, and in the community. Work hours require evenings.

Responsible for overseeing day-to-day client and program staff safety including, but not limited to:
  • Actively support groups and share responsibility for whereabouts and safety of all clients with other program staff on duty.
  • Co-facilitate daily group sessions as program needs require it.
  • Develop and regularly update Individualized Crisis Management Plans for clients attending the program and overseeing program staff adherence to these plans.
  • Provide assistance and support in crisis situations utilizing the Therapeutic Crisis Model of Intervention, including use of physical restraints as necessary, to protect clients from risk of harm to themselves and/or others while attending the program.
  • Communication with families to address immediate and/or ongoing safety concerns.
  • Collaborate with facilities staff to ensure that all building maintenance occurs in a timely fashion and coordinate with program staff on maintaining organization and cleanliness in program areas.
  • Develop routes that ensure the safe transportation of all clients within necessary time frames.
  • Collaborate with parents and school personnel to coordinate pick-up and drop-off for all clients.
  • Assign program staff to routes and fill in on routes when program needs require it.
  • Remain at work until all routes return safely each day and coordinate with program staff on any vehicle emergencies.
  • Oversee van log compliance, submit weekly mileage reports, and oversee appropriate use of gas credit cards and fueling schedules.
  • Regularly update route binders and ensure that all vans have registration, insurance card, and first aid kit readily available.
Other duties including, but not limited to:
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
  • All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  • Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience.
