OE offers Transition Services for students with disabilities, guiding them toward employment, further education, or successful career transitions. Our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) cover Workplace Readiness Training, Post Secondary Counseling, Work Based Learning, Career Exploration, and Self-advocacy. Duties And Responsibilities
Provide Pre-ETS Services as assigned. Assigned services may include whole group instruction/small group instruction, job exploration outings, self-advocacy lessons, career exploration, vocational assessments, etc
Collect, evaluate, and report student performance
Maintain and submit documentation as required
Work with school staff for student support and growth
Network with local businesses for programmatic activities and student employment opportunities
Assist families and students in identifying and accessing transition services
Stay informed about program performance expectations and stay current on trends in youth and workforce development
Acts as a positive role model
Maintains a safe work environment
Qualifications
Prefer an Associates Degree/Bachelor's Degree in a human service-related field with 3 years experience working with youth in transition-related services and/or experience working with individuals with disabilities or a comparable combination of education and experience. A background check, acceptable driving record, driver's license, and reliable vehicle are required.This position partners with local schools and works directly within the high school classes.

Able to work under varying climatic conditions, indoors or outdoors, in cold or heat
Able to lift and carry a 50 lb. parcel across a large warehouse
