Tier 1 and 2 Network Engineer

Role: Network engineer

Location: fully onsite 8-5 mon - Friday - some flex

PR: 30-35/hr - convert at 65-70k

Duration: 6 month contract to hire

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience - Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, IP sub netting, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and network management - Experience with point-to-point, VPN, and other WAN connectivity options - Understanding of switching, VLANs, VRF and related technologies - Experience with Cisco switches and routers, including Nexus, series switches and ASR routers - Understanding of network security, including firewalls and VPNs - Experience with Automation

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- B.S. degree in computer science or similar preferred - Cisco CCNA / CCNP certification preferred - Experience with Cisco ASA firewalls and Checkpoint preferred - Experience with Fortinet firewalls preferred - Experience with F5 load balancers preferred - Experience with Dell switches preferred
