Department Overview
Corporate Security's mission is to protect the people and the assets of CLIENT from physical harm. We do this through a sizeable field presence but also through the increasing use of technology. This includes systems such as enterprise CCTV, network video recorders, physical access management systems and intrusion detection systems. In addition, we are now taking it to the next level with the introduction of NERC visitor management systems, virtual reception, ground based radar, drone detection systems, user behavioral analytics systems and artificial intelligence. The organization is evaluating new technologies to manage physical security risks. We consistof securityprofessionals,each with multipleyears ofexperiencein theirchosendiscipline.
Position Summary
A Technical Project Manager leads project teams that: implement security technologies; design and install new physical security systems; or, enhances existing systems. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for assembling the project team and using the provided cost and scheduling tools to define the
scope, budget, schedule and resource needs, as well as controlling other project variables. Additionally, the Technology Project Manager will function as a liaison between IT and the Business Client, acting as the key leader representing the entire project from planning to deployment stage.
Qualifications
Minimum:
BA/BS in engineering, construction management, or the appropriate technical discipline or equivalent work experience
PMP certification required
3-6 years of relevant work experience
Desired
3+ years of recent experience as a project manager, managing physical security projects to include; access control/intrusion detection and CCTV surveillance systems
Ability to lead complex project meetings
Thorough knowledge of projects and technical requirements from relevant CLIENT functional area
Process Improvement
Ability to manage team and personal dynamics to drive projects forward
Knowledge of projects and technical requirements from relevant CLIENT functional area
Ability to lead project meetings
Experience with one or more of the following systems: AMAG, Quantum, HID SAFE, Genetec

Advanced understanding of project management principles and methodologies
Understanding of CLIENT business and Corporate Security strategies and objectives
Workforce planning and resource management skills
Ability to function and manage in a matrixed environment
Understanding of security roles and responsibilities at CLIENT

Strong organizational skills to bring order to efforts across disparate team, making agreements with stakeholders to meet objectives
Demonstrated financial acumen, working within both systems and spreadsheets to plan and track budgets
Ability to work across various teams through agreements with stakeholders
Proficiency in negotiation and risk management
Skilled in using the following programs Planisware, IT Methodology, Microsoft Office Suite
Job Responsibilities
Successfully manage three to five moderately complex projects. These projects are one-time, multitask jobs that have clearly defined start and end dates, a specific scope of work, a budget,
required resources, and a specified performance objective to be achieved. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance with broad scope and high complexity
Gather, define and document project requirements
Clearly define and communicate roles, responsibilities and expectations for all members of the project team
Obtain and define staffing requirements and form project teams
Independently plan all associated work to meet project goals
Provide direction and leadership to project management analysts and schedulers
Record, track, and communicate issues, risks, changes, and status reports within a CLIENT standard tool
Accurately and consistently forecast project resource, material and contract costs within a specified standard
Drive all project related tasks to completion
Organize, develop, and maintain up-to-date detailed project schedules and work plans
Monitor critical project milestones, and identify ways to resolve schedule issues
Coordinate any required contract work within defined CLIENT policy
Assess project performance and implementing changes as necessary to ensure the projectS remains within specified cost, schedule, scope and quality objectives
Communicate status of all projects to stakeholders and management
Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with project sponsors, vendors and key clients
Resolve problems of project specific scope within procedural guidelines
Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance with moderate scope any complexity
Prepare all project documentation for closure, storage, and possible auditing activities, ensuring technical accuracy
