Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a Detroit MI-based automotive manufacturer who brings engineering, technology, and design together to create innovative vehicles, energy solutions, and in-vehicle services, is seeking a Technical Data Analyst. The main function of a Technical Data Analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies
  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions
  • Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes
  • Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes
  • Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications
  • Resolving customer tickets for PC's and printers
  • Printing labels, production labels, production support labels
  • Assisting the customer with any manufacturing system issues that they encounter
  • Number of tickets every day vary, low volume shop
  • Troubleshoot a lot of different things
  • Attend manufacturing and production meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field required
  • 2-4 years of applicable experience required
  • Experience with database technologies
  • Knowledge of the ETL process
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated history of success
  • Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
