b.next is rebuilding biology for engineering. We are making it possible — and easy — to design and build synthetic cells from scratch that address a wide range of challenges ranging from environmental sensing to distributed manufacturing. The Position
We are looking for a first synthetic cell engineer to join us in developing open-source synthetic cell technologies and products. You will take ownership of and develop one or more major projects and lead at least one key technology focus area - cytosol, DNA, liposomes, or automation. You will work closely with our team to develop overall technology and product strategy.

Thrive in fast-paced environments that value high levels of autonomy, proactivity, and communication to address complex challenges and build new things.
Have a PhD in Bioengineering or the Biosciences, or equivalent experience.
