Senior Supplier Development Responsibilities:
Analyzing supplier capacity and performance efficiency.
Engaging actively with supply partners.
Identifying and addressing supplier weaknesses with effective solutions.
Monitoring risks related to supplier performance and capacity to prevent operational issues.
Developing and implementing supplier problem-solving techniques.
Improving supplier production systems and processes.
Driving operational excellence among suppliers.
Ensuring compliance with GTP processes, Code of Conduct, and Volvo Way.
Representing GTP at supplier sites and escalating issues as necessary to prevent operational crises.
Senior Supplier Development Qualifications:
Experience in supply chain, quality, development, or production within automotive or heavy commercial truck industries.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage projects and tasks independently.
Prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
Customer-focused mindset with dedication to meeting expectations.
Collaborative team player with integrity and creativity.
Flexibility to travel with short notice.
