Position Summary Information
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics/statistics, engineering, management information science, data processing or related field ; Minimum of 3 years of experience with data mining, including techniques of data extraction, documentation, analysis, and reporting is required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Student Success , under the direction of University College, is dedicated to the development, promotion, and support of learning for all students. This commitment is demonstrated through a variety of services and resources to support all student learners at various stages centered on academic excellence, holistic well-being, and sense of belonging.
Under the joint direction of the Assistant Vice Provost for Student Success, this position supports the development and longitudinal tracking of strategic student success initiatives. The duties and responsibilities of the Student Success Data Support Analyst include:
Participate in Student Success leadership and team meetings.
Serve as TracCloud Software System Admin to support student data needs.
Populate data from banner import, refresh and troubleshoot as needed Oversight and maintenance of 17 existing operational Log-in Sub-centers for University Tutoring Services ( UTS ) appointment-based tutoring, LEAD tutoring, Learning Labs, Study Halls, As-U-R Support Center and Advising Contacts.
Oversight of Tutor Personnel data records
Oversight of ZOOM interface for UTS online appointments
Generate UTS End of Semester Evaluations via SurveyTrac component
Oversee implementation and reporting on the Midterm Grade Reporting Initiative
Compile End-of-Semester Utilization and Comparison data for all UTS Centers, Advising Centers, Study Halls, As-U-R, Academic Strategy Instruction ( ASI ), and Learning Tune-Ups.
Liaison with RedRock Support and Software Development personnel
Assist SSS personnel with IT server-side support and troubleshooting of Blumen Software. Assist with SSS and ACCESS Banner coding updates. Address any additional support needs as indicated by the SSS federal grant relative to the DAS role.
Analyze and communicate findings to the student-facing and student-support units of the institution to educate and inform their interactions, assess student-support initiatives, and enhance the student experience.
Establish data tracking and collection methods that ensure accuracy and validity in the final analyses.
Manage the creation of several retention and graduation reports and special studies annually and on an ad hoc basis.
Serve as the resource for users of the student success dashboards, including developing and maintaining training and documentation on their proper use and understanding.
Provide data validation and consultatory support to the Student Success affiliated units
Use statistical analysis to identify indicators to predict student success and retention and to identify risk factors that hinder success.
Develop and maintains detailed documentation (metadata) on project work and documents project tasks.
Track project progress and report on status and project dependencies.
