Overall Purpose

Provides primary administration and support of the M365 environment used at Early Warning. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the assigned system(s) and for the processes inside of the application to ensure that it remains current and serves the needs for Early Warning users. Organizes, implements, and leads specific solutions and projects from a technical perspective.

Essential Functions

  • Acts as owner and primary administrator of the M365 application suite.
  • Troubleshoots issues, providing expert level support, including but not limited to, prioritizing issues based on severity and impact. Resolves issues or identifies vendor escalations as needed. Owns issue until resolved.
  • Designs, develops, and deploys integrations where applicable.
  • Investigates integration failures, performs root cause analysis, and implements plans to mitigate and prevent future issues.
  • Provides application performance monitoring, evaluation, and optimization.
  • Works closely with internal partners to build and maintain M365 Business Process Configuration and Configurable Security.
  • Participates in cross functional project teams to maximize the M365 suite to provide an easy and efficient employee and manager experience. Influences cross functional teams in the design, development, and implementation of M365 functionality and system enhancements, ensuring alignment with business goals. Processes change requests supporting modifications to the application configuration.
  • Researches, evaluates, and provides guidance in the selection of 3rd party applications or plug-ins where applicable.
  • Analyzes existing processes to identify inefficiency and opportunities for improvement. Implements or direct the implementation of such process improvements.
  • Works with stakeholders to establish key metrics, KPIs and SLAs that are measurable and sustainable.
  • Ensures successful installation and validation of vendor-provided upgrades and patches.
  • Monitors license usage and budgeting for licensing costs. Provides metrics on anticipated needs during budget cycle and submits procurement requests when additional licenses are required.
  • Maintains application road map and sets priorities in partnership with business.
  • Develops and maintains all internal documentation and work instructions related to M365.
  • Supports the company’s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years or more of relevant experience in M365 administration with a strong understanding of M365 services and architecture including Azure.
  • Proficiency in configuring and customizing Microsoft 365 applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and OneDrive for Business
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Knowledge of information security best practices, data protection, and compliance requirements within the context of M365 services
  • Demonstrated ability to design and solution new integrations with M365 as needed.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to leverage M365 capabilities in support of business goals and objectives.
  • Experience identifying gaps between current and future state of business processes and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to recommend M365 specific process improvements, innovative solutions, and ways to remain compliant with policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • General knowledge or familiarity with applications such as JIRA and ServiceNow
  • Demonstrated experience supporting vendor-provided applications.
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Background and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Threat protection Experience (Microsoft Defender Suite, Proofpoint, Crowdstrike)
  • Microsoft Purview Experience
  • Strong understanding of governance policies related to M365 environment.

Physical Requirements

Early Warning works together in a highly collaborative office environment. Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

The Pay Scale For This Position In

Phoenix, AZ/Chicago, IL in USD per year is: $110,000 - $140,000.

San Francisco, CA/New York, NY in USD per year is: $120,000 - $160,000.

Remote in USD per year is: $110,000 - $160,000, but will vary dependent on geographic location.
