Sr. Systems Administrator

As a Sr. Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and services. You will also be an integral member of the team that is responsible for managing operational services that support critical IC services.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and maintain the organization's server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, ensuring their availability, scalability, and reliability
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and security patches across the network
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address any performance issues, bottlenecks, or potential problems
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring data security and compliance with company policies
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurring problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support new technologies, systems, and applications as needed
  • Provide technical support to end-users, assisting them with IT-related problems and inquiries
  • Maintain and update documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • An active TS/SCI clearance
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and systems management
  • Proficiency in managing Windows operating systems
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (i.e., VMware or Hyper-V)
  • Knowledge of network protocols, firewall management, and security best practices
  • Experience with system monitoring and management tools
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and task scripting
  • Experience working with technical teams to develop and deliver technical documentation
  • ITIL Certification or other relevant service management certifications is a plus
