The Senior System Administrator plays a pivotal role in managing and maintaining IT systems within Zone D, with a specific emphasis on VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) and CCAS (Call Control and Application Server) platforms. This position involves troubleshooting complex issues, implementing system updates, and ensuring optimal system performance. Collaboration with network administrators and other IT professionals within the division is vital to achieve the organization's IT objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Systems Management: Manage and maintain IT systems within Zone D, with a strong focus on VOIP and CCAS platforms, ensuring their reliability and functionality
Complex Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to systems, applications, and hardware to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency
System Updates and Upgrades: Implement system updates, patches, and upgrades to keep the systems secure and up to date with the latest technologies and best practices
System Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize system performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks, latency, and other performance-related challenges
Security Compliance: Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard systems and data from security threats, unauthorized access, and breaches
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes for future reference and audit purposes
Collaboration: Work closely with network administrators and other IT professionals within the division to ensure seamless integration of systems and to address cross-functional IT challenges
User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, assisting them with system-related issues and ensuring a positive user experience
Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions and share knowledge with team members to enhance their expertise and understanding of the systems
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration and management
Proficiency in VOIP and CCAS systems is highly desirable
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of system monitoring and management tools
Familiarity with system virtualization and cloud technologies
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Must have at least a Secret Clearance
