This Position Will Be Accountable For The Technical Evaluation Of Purchased Material And Quality Performance Of Suppliers Within The Global Supply Chain. The Candidate Will Function As The Sole On-site Technical And Quality Expert For Inbound Activities. Scope Includes Purchased Material, Supplier Quality, BIQ/Process Improvement Activities And Product Life Cycle Support, Including All Aspects Of Quality Management In The Warehouse. Job Accountabilities Include:
Manage All Areas of Supplier Quality including: Resolution of quality matters, Corrective Action, Request for Technical Authorization, Reject Notice, Continuous Improvement and Reporting
Act as Liaison Between Internal customers at all levels (operations leadership, Engineering, Supply Chain, aftermarket and distribution), focusing on technical questions, and 5 Sigma Quality performance.
Collaborate with Sourcing Specialist, Buyer, Supply Chain Coordinator, and Supplier Development Engineer to Achieve Quality, Velocity, and Cost Goals
Lead or Participate in Cross-Functional Teams Utilizing 6 Sigma / CPS Process
Qualifications:
Technical Degree, preferably in engineering, or equivalent directly related experience and a minimum of 5 years job-related experience
Knowledge of manufacturing and warehousing operations/processes
Ability to work with basic hand tools and inspection equipment
Strong Analytical Problem Solving Skills
Experience with Quality Management System(s) Desired
Experience with Lean Manufacturing Desired
Highest Level of Ethics and Professionalism
Well-developed Interpersonal Skills
Able to work independently and with minimal direction
Willing to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10-15% )
