Senior Interior Project Designer

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Interior Project Designer. In this role, you will be pivotal in shaping, defining, and implementing the vision of interior projects through innovative and strategic thinking. Your expertise will help achieve project goals effectively, ensuring alignment with client aspirations and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in project planning efforts, including detailed space planning, layout optimization, and selection of furnishings, equipment, and color schemes
- Craft and refine design concepts that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and tailored to client needs while maintaining safety and budget considerations
- Select and detail materials and finishes, including furniture, lighting fixtures, floor coverings, wall treatments, and artwork. Prepare cost estimates and material requisitions
- Implement eco-friendly and sustainable design practices into all projects
- Produce and refine design visualizations, including both 2D and 3D presentation materials
- Lead client presentations, providing clear communication and creative solutions
- Manage documentation through design development and schematic phases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards
- Assist in procuring bids and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors for material and furnishing implementation
- Ensure project timelines are adhered to and phases are completed as scheduled
- Collaborate across disciplines and with external entities to integrate comprehensive project details
- Support project management during the construction phase by responding to requests for information, change orders, and reviewing submittals
- Adhere to and advocate for established company standards in all project phases
- Contribute expertise to team members, potentially mentoring junior staff and contributing to performance assessments
- Engage in professional development and recruitment efforts
- Promote environmentally responsible practices within the workplace
- Uphold a high standard of service for both external and internal stakeholders
Skills Required:
- Exceptional creative ability in conceptual design and visualization, whether through manual sketching or digital tools
- In-depth understanding of contemporary design trends, construction practices, material applications, and vendor sources
- Comprehensive knowledge of interior specifications, fixtures, and fittings, along with a strong grasp of architectural finishes and environmental branding
- Proficient in regulatory compliance, safety codes, and detailed technical documentation
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles, including LEED certification processes
- Technical proficiency in Deltek Vision, MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, and graphic design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign
- Experience with 3D modeling tools like 3D Studio Max
- Excellent time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines
- Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
- A Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, or a related field from an accredited institution
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in managing comprehensive interior design projects
- Professional accreditation in Interior Design (NCIDQ certification) or a registered Architect with a current license
