Are you up for this challenge? We are looking for a Sr Program Manager who lead strategic efforts to automate and optimize scheduling technology.

Amazon's Middle Mile Transportation Technology team is chartered with building complex software solutions that work across our vendors, warehouses and carriers to optimize both time & cost of getting the packages delivered. Our services already handle thousands of requests per second, make business decisions impacting billions of dollars a year, integrate with a network of small and large carriers, owner operators and drivers worldwide, manage business rules for millions of unique products, and improve ordering and delivery experience for millions of online shoppers.

In this role, you will drive strategic focus on automation and optimization of scheduling functions across middle-mile, with ownership of VP-level goal. You will drive continuous process improvement, generate new ideas, validate entitlement and oversee operational deployment. You will work with field/operational stakeholders to ensure success of initiatives, coordinate results and insights for leadership review and with product/tech to integrate roadmap efforts. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to lead not only at the strategic level, but also tactically day-to-day by diving deeply into business and technical domains.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive ideation and coordination of efforts to improve automation rates and scheduling optimization.
  • Track and report on ongoing initiatives and results, with appropriate bridges to understand defects.
  • Collaborate closely with scheduling tech team and scheduling-ops to gain consensus on initiatives
  • Provide insights into broader impact of initiatives such as fill-rate optimization, waste and churn.
  • Align with product team on planned roadmap and optimize effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
