Sr. Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical Power Generation)
Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 base + 15% Bonus
Location: Onsite in Janesville, WI (Relocation is available!)
Requirements: 7+ years of experience with assembly/test processes + electric power generation industry knowledge

After years as a a Tier One OEM supplier to the biggest names in portable power generation, we are opening a new division within our company to take this partnership to the next level. The group will focus on complete system integration and manufacturer of fully integrated electrical power generation systems.
Working closely with the VP of Engineering you will be a hands-on leader within a small interdisciplinary team to create and refine mechanical assembly and test practices. We'll look for you to bring the latest knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing to streamline manufacturing efforts for our fully integrated electrical power generation systems.

What You Will Be Doing
Utilizing An Understanding Of Electrical Power Generation You Will Lead Our Manufacturing Efforts Of Custom Build Electrical Power Generation Systems Through
Lead projects in designing and developing assembly/test processes for mechanical/electrical systems
Continuously improve processes to enhance safety, ergonomics, cost, efficiency, and quality
Develop tools and procedures to aid in assembling and testing complex systems
Identify and implement new technologies to improve operations
Collaborate with engineers on new product introduction processes
Identify process upgrades to improve overall plant performance
Work with the Director of Plant Engineering to develop long term plans and strategies
What You Need for this Position
7+ years of electrical and mechanical assembly and test experience focused on:
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly operations
Proficient in Office, MRP and AutoCAD/Inventor software
Experience with Kaizen/Continuous Improvement methodologies (including 5S)
Understands Lean manufacturing principles (including lead time reduction, SMED, and one-piece flow)
Bonus points if you have experience with...
Knowledge of electrical power generation systems (especially Balance of Plant)
Understanding of North American power generation standards and regulations
