Sr Manager, Global Trade & Customs Strategy and Solutions - 79907

Swoon works directly with a leading, global Medical Equipment Manufacturing company, who is looking to hire a Sr Manager, Global Trade & Customs Strategy and Solutions.

This is a strategic role that necessitates operational experience to craft effective strategies.

Location: Hybrid in Deerfield, IL (Generous relocation package provided to those not local!)

Salary: $160,000K-$175,000K annual base + 15% annual bonus + 10K equity

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive strategy and execution in four key areas: Trade Facilitation, Trade Program Management (C-TPAT, AEO), Trade Compliance/Risk Management, and Trade Cost Optimization.
• Global Trade Management Software Expansion: spearhead, supervise, and serve as the project manager for the implementation of Thomson Reuters One Source.
• Collaborate with Global and Regional Trade leadership to enhance our Global Trade Management Program, ensuring effective and compliant handling of imports and exports.
• Offer expert advice on Trade and Customs to local and regional Global Trade staff, while proactively monitoring changes in Global Customs laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Strategic Initiatives: lead initiatives to optimize trade costs, develop compliance standards, implement digital strategies, and improve overall Global Trade activities through continuous improvement methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree Required
• At least 7 years of U.S. international trade compliance
• Global Team Experience: experience working with global teams in a matrixed environment.
• Innovative catalyst: Capable of transforming concepts into actionable plans. Essential qualities include critical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and analytical prowess, coupled with the capacity to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines.
• Global Trade Management Software: Experience with implementation, Thomson Reuters One Source or similar software.
• Regulatory Interaction: Experience with Customs, FDA/MOH, and international government agencies.
• Supply Chain Logistics: Extensive understanding of logistics, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management.
• Preferred Qualifications: U.S. Customs Brokers license or similar certification and experience in Pharma, Med Device, or another highly regulated industry.
