We are scaling quickly in both direct-to-consumer and retail with the goal of becoming a household brand. We have end-to-end control of all phases of the business, producing and fulfilling the product in-house, which is extremely rare for companies our size. This allows us to create new flavors and products quickly and is a tremendous advantage for our brand – we’re able to give customers a behind-the-scenes look at what we do, highlighting our people and process in content. Being vertically integrated also enables us to incorporate customers directly in the development process.

What’s The Job?

The Senior Director of Conventional Grocery will lead our emerging Conventional Grocery channel. They will own developing a channel and retailer specific strategy with clear implementation tactics. Prior experience includes strong, established Kroger and/or Albertsons Safeway relationships, even better if it’s within the Hot Cereal category. This role will have the opportunity to lead a team of Conventional Grocery National Account Managers and other supporting functions. They will work hand in hand with other channel and sales leaders to ensure synergistic strategy is developed and executed with excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing, Stop Scanning and Read This Part

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets
  • Create and communicate sales goals and ensure that executives are informed of progress to goals
  • Build and maintain long lasting, strong relationships with customer in the Conventional Grocery markets
  • Partner with customers to better understand their business objectives and needs
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals
  • Stay on top of and communicate industry trends to better understand market dynamics and impact to strategies
  • Other duties as assigned


What You’ve Done And Who You Are

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the food industry
  • Lead and build key retail customer relationships while fostering existing ones
  • Skilled people leader
  • Experience creating channel-level sales strategies, with successful implementation and execution
  • Strong existing relationships with major food chain retailers (Kroger and Albertsons Co preferred)
  • Experience in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Proficient negotiator
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Experience and desire to support a culture built on collaboration, sharing of ideas and celebration of successes as well as drive for positive outcomes with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel as needed

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
