Job Summary

The Application Reliability Engineering and Support team (ARES formerly AMS) team is responsible for break / fix application production support for the enterprise. This position is responsible for leading and executing our Service Intake process to ensure new scope for ARES is adequately defined, properly estimated, and effectively transitioned with proper formal approvals for funding. Each application that moves through the Service Introduction process will be either newly developed or will have undergone significant revisions with implications for our Production Support team. This position will engage strongly with our ARES Strategic Partners (vendors) and the associated ARES Senior Manager as well as key personnel from the Tech Ops Product Lines for leadership decisions and for subject matter expert (SME) support.

This individual will be a driving force to ensure the Service Introduction process goes smoothly while keeping all stakeholders informed to ensure effective alignment of development demand and capacity, providing input into financial, workforce, and technical capacity planning processes. Our ARES Demand Capacity Team also serves as process-central for our broader ARES team and is responsible for other functions including the role ARES plays in the Stakeholder Engagement process, Service Introduction process, Service Reduction process, Service Level Management and maintaining our process documents, SharePoint sites and forms / templates used to transition production support scope to our Strategic Partners.

NOTE: This hybrid role can be located in NAPERVILLE, IL CHICAGO IL or RICHARDSON TX ~ relocation will not be offered; sponsorship is not available.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree and 4 years Information Technology experience; OR Tech Certification and 6 years Information Technology experience; OR 8 years Information Technology experience.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills; oral and written communications skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft collaboration tools including SharePoint and MS Teams.
  • Analysis and modeling skills leveraging Excel as a power user with proven track record / experience
  • Knowledge of application development platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing / SaaS.
  • Knowledge of mobile and web technologies.
  • Knowledge of data center platforms (servers, storage).
  • Knowledge of end user platforms (desktops, laptops, mobile).
  • Ability to work well independently with the maturity to escalate when needed.
  • Attention to detail with a strong ability to track and drive multiple concurrent activities while staying organized.
  • Confidence to initiate and facilitate meetings effectively while tracking follow-up items to ensure an optimized process.
  • Excellent facilitation skills with a proven track record for organization.
  • A plus is experience with process automation including MS Power Apps and Flow

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SDLC Methodology - Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development

Base Pay Range

$67,500.00 - $143,100.00
