Software QA Associate II

The ideal candidate excels in debugging intricate software products by executing systematic tests to maintain and elevate quality standards for company products under general guidance.

• Proactively develops, publishes, and implements test plans.
• Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
• Consults with development staff in resolution of problems. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Collaborates efficiently with senior internal and external personnel.
• Maintains documentation of test results and executions.
• Analyzes test results to verify existing functionality and proposes corrective actions.
• Develop, code, maintain, and execute automated test scripts. May also be tasked with designing automated test scripts based on the project requirements.

Education

• 4-year degree required in a related field, such as computer science, business administration, or engineering.
• Demonstrated experience or coursework in software development is crucial, with prior work experience in JUnit being a valuable asset.
  
  
  

Experience

• Must have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies.
• Familiar with Windows, UNIX and/or Solaris environments.
• SQL skills are required.
• Prior experience with enterprise ERP systems is preferred
• Prior experience working in projects using Agile or Waterfall methodology, iteration and user stories is preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in directly applicable functional QA role
• Prior experience in automated function testing using tool such as Selenium or equivalent is required.
