We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Technology Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT procurement, with a strong focus on contracts and IT managed services. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage complex purchasing processes, negotiate contracts, and ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services and products.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
Develop and execute IT procurement strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors for IT products and services.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from initial request to contract negotiation and execution.
Contract Management:
Draft, review, and negotiate IT contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
Maintain and manage existing contracts, ensuring timely renewals and amendments.
Mitigate risks by ensuring all contractual terms and conditions are adhered to.
IT Managed Services:
Oversee the procurement of IT managed services, ensuring service levels meet or exceed expectations.
Evaluate and select managed service providers, establishing strong partnerships and monitoring performance.
Manage vendor relationships, resolving any issues that may arise and ensuring continuous improvement.
Strategic Sourcing:
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, pricing, and best practices in IT procurement.
Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and value-added procurement strategies.
Ensure all procurement activities align with the company’s sustainability and ethical sourcing policies.
Budget and Spend Management:
Manage and control the IT procurement budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
Track and report on procurement performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost reduction.
Collaborate with finance and other departments to ensure accurate forecasting and financial planning.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their IT needs and requirements.
Provide guidance and support to departments in selecting and procuring IT products and services.
Foster strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to drive procurement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT procurement, with a strong focus on contracts and managed services.
Proven experience in negotiating and managing complex IT contracts.
In-depth knowledge of IT products, services, and market trends.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Professional certifications such as CPM, CPSM, or equivalent are a plus.
