We are an established General Contractor who have operated in the Las Vegas Area for over 40 years. We specialize in commercial construction, including retail, hospitality, casinos, restaurants, and more. We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team!
The Role
The Estimator - Commercial Construction is responsible for providing accurate estimates on large-scale commercial construction projects. The Estimator is responsible for utilizing appropriate estimating techniques, software, and strategies to accurately estimate labor, materials, and other costs associated with commercial construction projects. The Estimator should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare estimates and determine the scope of work of commercial construction projects
Evaluate cost estimates, subcontractor bids, and material quotes and negotiate bid prices to maximize project profitability
Identify potential problems and provide cost-effective solutions
Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure accurate estimates
Maintain up-to-date database of completed projects, subcontractors, and pricing information
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
Minimum five years of experience in commercial construction estimating
Proficiency in estimating software, spreadsheets, and other technical programs
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
