Senior CPU/GPU Commodity Buyer

Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced CPU/GPU Commodity Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end management of CPU/GPU commodities, ensuring a stable and cost-effective supply chain. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of CPU Technology across various brands and has established a robust global network of suppliers with a particular focus on Asia.

Essential Functions

Strategic Sourcing:

  • Along with the Regional Purchasing Manager - Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for CPU and GPU commodities, taking into account market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Utilize market intelligence to identify, evaluate, and negotiate to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements for the company.

Market Analysis And Intelligence

  • Actively monitor and analyze the CPU/GPU markets for developing trends.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and market dynamics related to CPU/GPU commodities to provide strategic insights and recommendations.

Customer Insights

  • Understand the needs and preferences of customers who use CPU’s and GPU’s.
  • Work with Sourcing Senior Management to align our procurement strategies with customer demands and market opportunities.

Market Reporting

  • Develop comprehensive market reports which bring value to both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
  • Reports should reflect current market conditions, pricing, forecasts, and strategic insights.

Training And Development

  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on various aspects of processor products and the market.
  • Foster a learning environment which keeps team members up to date on market trends and technical knowledge.

Core Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of CPU’s and GPU’s across all major brands.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of managing strategic supplier relationships, particularly in Asia.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Adept at negotiation and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Resourceful and creative in resolving challenges.

Requirements

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in memory commodity purchasing.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time during the shift.
  • Finger, wrist and hand dexterity with repetitive motion.
