In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Senior Buyer is responsible for managing the ordering process for all capital equipment and service contracts for the Health System as requested and approved in a time efficient and cost-effective manner while maintaining a personable and courteous manner to end users and vendors. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.
Job Functions
Responsible for all aspects of the Capital Acquisition process.
Manages Service Contracts for the Health System.
Maintains and analyzes vendor contract pricing.
Performs all required computer operations.
Maintains supportive customer environment.
Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
Associate's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance with 5 years purchasing experience or 10 plus years of purchasing experience or business related fields.
Special Knowledge, Skills, Training
PC/Computer proficiencies, numerical as well as clerical abilities are needed.
Telephone and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
