Overview:

As a Senior Buyer you will be sourcing, purchasing, and managing a variety of commodities necessary for DG's manufacturing processes. This role involves collaborating with suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and maintaining inventory levels to support production schedules. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of procuring electronic components in a manufacturing environment



Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment efficiently.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for cost reduction and supply stability.
  • Forecast material availability and anticipate market trends.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for inventory planning and procurement.
  • Maintain accurate costing and collaborate with accounting for error resolution.
  • Analyze inventory data for performance insights and improvement opportunities.
  • Cultivate strong supplier relationships and assess their performance.
  • Identify new supply sources and evaluate options for stocked and new items.
  • Fulfill additional tasks as assigned by management.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in either Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
  • .Minimum 4 years of experience in supply chain or procurement in manufacturing (preferably within the aerospace industry).
  • Interprets and applies company, policies, procedures, work instructions, business standards and U.S. government regulations, i.e., FAR, DFAR, compliance
  • Proficiency in supply chain principles, methods, and best practices.
  • Proficient with inventory management software, preferably Oracle.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex dataset
  • Other tasks assigned by management.
  • Follows all DG safety procedures as per company policies
