Senior Associate of Corporate Affairs

Key Responsibilities:

[Government/External Relations]

 Collaborate with senior-level Corporate Affairs Professionals in support of the development of strategic plans by conducting research, contributing ideas, and assisting in the execution of initiatives aimed at policy and corporate reputation management.

 Gather information on relevant political and regulatory developments, identify/report potential risks, prepare briefs or talking points, and represent the company's interests in meetings or discussions.

 Keep track of bills, regulations, and policy initiatives at both the federal and state levels. Maintain a comprehensive database of relevant legislation and regulatory actions.

 Collaborate with senior-level Corporate Affairs Professionals in developing company policy and positions on key issues and coordinate communication activities.

 Support government relations in identifying policy trends, setting priorities, and developing effective strategies for company engagement.

 Coordinate the planning and execution of advocacy campaign activities aimed at influencing policymakers and shaping public opinion.

 Arrange meetings, prepare materials, and participate in interactions with policymakers, external stakeholders, and trade associations to help foster positive relationships on behalf of the company.

 Assist in monitoring the situation closely, gather information, and coordinate response efforts. This could involve drafting statements, managing media inquiries, and providing support to affected stakeholders.

[Corporate Brand Elevation]

 Manage PR firms and communications to ensure strategic alignment among all participants.

 Analyze data and benchmark industry peers to identify opportunities for brand differentiation and growth.

 Develop the company's brand positioning and messaging strategy.

 Assist in identifying strategic partnerships and sponsorship opportunities that align with the company's brand values and objectives. Coordinate activation efforts to maximize brand exposure and engagement.

 Support the planning and execution of corporate events and experiential marketing activities.

Basic Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Communications, Management, Journalism, Marketing, Business, Economics, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field required.

 Key Competencies: Demonstrated proficiency in Priority Setting, Drive for Results, Adaptability in Ambiguous Situations, Decision Quality, Business Acumen, and Creativity. Proven ability to handle highly sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.

 Ability to maintain attention to detail, communicate clearly in written and oral communications, deliver on tight deadlines, and exercise sound analytical judgment with minimal supervision.

 Highly collaborative, requiring a strong ability to cooperate and work across functions, segments & locations.

 Ability and willingness to timely respond to intermittent and unexpected public affairs issues that may occur outside the hours of standard working hours.

 Strong organizational and project management skills are valuable for coordinating multiple initiatives, managing deadlines, and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

 Must be willing to travel (less than 25%).

 Must be willing to attend political and industry events representing company with poise and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in corporate affairs, corporate marketing, public relations, government relations, communications, policy analysis/risk assessment, or a related field preferred.

 Intellectual curiosity for the ever-changing political, industrial, and economic landscape with the ability to familiarize content quickly.

 Having a holistic point of view, and the ability to translate strategies into communication tactics and messages.

 Knowledge of/experience with both internal and external communications and media relations.
