Senior Analyst

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Finance team in Marietta, GA. Reporting to the VP, Credit Risk and Analytics, the Sr. Analyst will be primarily responsible for assisting the VP and various business partners in driving and influencing credit risk and business analytics and strategies in the Analytics Center of Excellence for YMFC-US. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to analyzing strategic growth decisions, loss performance factors, portfolio profitability. and business reporting. In this highly visible role, the Sr. Analyst will independently provide analytical insights and recommendations to formulate YMFC-US' Credit Risk and Business Strategies and other business initiatives. They will also be expected to assist with onboarding and mentoring of less tenured analysts. The areas of focus include some combination of originations, pricing, vintage performance analysis, portfolio profitability, measured originations growth, and reporting and support of business partners.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for YMFC-US in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands
  • Onboard and mentor junior analysts. Coaching and mentoring associates with a goal of developing and retaining talent
  • Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product level modeling/analytics
  • Manages multiple projects to completion while meeting deadlines and prioritizing workload effectively
  • Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, performance, and pricing
  • Testing hypotheses using A/B testing, rigorous monitoring, and analysis in collaboration with Risk organization
  • Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against strategies
  • Work closely with colleagues across YMFC-US including Risk, Legal & Compliance, IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
  • Present and communicate, both written and orally, insights, analysis, and strategies across various levels of the organization
  • Identify, evaluate, and optimize pricing recommendations and strategies that optimize profit through attaining company driven returns and volume
  • Ad hoc reporting

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • 4-year Bachelor ' s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Finance or other related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business, financial, pricing, and/or technical analysis in corporate setting
  • 2+ years of programming experience in SQL, SAS, Python, or other database coding programs
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate analysis, strategies, and recommendations to various stakeholders and Senior Leadership
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while prioritizing workload and adhering to deadlines
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • High attention to detail
