Security Engineer I

What you will get to do on our team

• Write and manage code within the Security team
• Monitor and triage security alerts as part of a 24x7 on-call rotation
• Manage various Security systems (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, AV, etc)
• Work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, Engineering, and IT teams to provide support and expertise
• Understand our Security Program and Compliance needs
• Provide Security training in a creative way to engage employees
• Assist with vulnerability assessments and security projects
• Participate in the development of the Security Program
• Participate in audits and compliance tasks
  
  

What you will achieve

• Within 30 days
• You will have been fully onboarded as a member of the Information Security team with access to all necessary resources and training to dive into tasks.
• Within 60 days
• You will have completed familiarizing yourself with the Security Program and starting to perform some day-to-day tasks without assistance.
• You will have developed an understanding of the Security Systems and know how to use them
• By 90 days
• You will have become comfortable with handling day-to-day tasks and able to work independently
• You will be comfortable raising security issues within the team and identifying any gaps
• You will be able to manage projects and provide updates on a weekly basis while adjusting priorities as needed
• You will be familiar with teams Information Security commonly supports and engaging with others throughout the organization to build trust
  

To be successful in this role, you will need

• Experience with operating systems hardening techniques
• Familiarity with Systems administration
• Familiarity with code development
• An understanding of networking concepts
• Knowledge of cloud security concepts
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Go (or similar scripting languages)
• Ability to participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
  
  

Base Pay Range: $100,000/yr - $115,000/yr plus bonus
