The Sales Director is responsible for directing, training, and supervising the LUX Event Producers (sales team) in all sales-related activities including direct sales efforts and follow-up for proper sales administration. They must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively. The Sales team will look to the manager to understand sales targets, expectations, and training requirements.


Responsibilities:

  • Ability to create and sustain positive synergy with the sales and management team.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on a broad variety of projects.
  • Manage a driven sales team to meet targets and expectations.
  • Conduct sales trainings on new ways to drive business and maintain clientele.
  • Develops strong customer and staff relationships through frequent communication and the use of professional, courteous, and ethical interpersonal interaction.
  • Responsible for working with clientele to provide professional client services support in the planning, organization, and management of off-site events, monitoring the logistics of these events and all event-related tasks.
  • Duties will include but not be limited to working with space requirements, scheduling of events, equipment rentals, tastings, menus, invoicing and theme concept/design.
  • Responsible for outreach, prospecting, and driving new business through marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote LUX Catering and Events.



Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and a detailed follow through.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in catering or event sales (offsite experience preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a management role.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Computer proficiency in google suite applications and caterease software platform (or similar)
  • Prior experience in hospitality or food and beverage
  • Must have a strong knowledge of food, wine, and spirits
  • Degree in event or business management
  • Previous book of clients (preferred)
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to interact with all types of clients.
