Safety Manager

I am currently looking for Site Safety Managers to support my clients operating in the Solar/BESS industries across the USA.

Role / Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and protocols in accordance with OSHA regulations, industry standards, and project requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines and procedures.
• Provide safety training and orientation for project personnel, including subcontractors and vendors, on hazard recognition, safe work practices, and emergency procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain safety records, incident reports, and documentation of safety-related activities.
• Monitor subcontractors' safety performance and adherence to safety requirements, and address any deficiencies or non-compliance issues.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address safety concerns and integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in safety management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• OSHA Certifications
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management, preferably in utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed.

The positions will be long-term W2 contract positions: full benefits and per diem available.
