Risk Assessment:

  • Identify, evaluate, and analyze potential risks to the organization, including financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks.
  • Develop risk assessment strategies and methodologies to prioritize risks based on their potential impact and likelihood.


Risk Mitigation:

  • Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and controls to minimize the organization's exposure to risks.
  • Collaborate with department heads and executives to develop risk mitigation strategies, including risk transfer through insurance.


Insurance Management:

  • Evaluate the organization's insurance needs and work with insurance brokers to procure appropriate coverage.
  • Manage all aspect of claims, including liability, workers compensation and auto claims.
  • Review insurance policies, ensure compliance with coverage requirements, and negotiate insurance contracts to optimize terms and costs.
  • Maintain up-to-date COIs and distribute accordingly to internal and external customers.


Claims Administration:

  • Handle and oversee commercial liability claims, including general liability, product liability, and professional liability claims.
  • Investigate incidents, gather relevant information, and work with internal teams, legal counsel, and insurance providers to manage and resolve claims efficiently.



Data Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze data related to incidents, claims, and risk management programs to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Utilize risk management software and tools to track and report on key risk indicators.
  • Update safety and environmental data and reports as requested.


Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to risk management.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports to senior management and board members, summarizing the organization's risk profile and risk mitigation efforts.


Crisis Management:

Develop and implement crisis response plans to address unexpected events or emergencies, such as natural disasters, cyberattacks, or public relations crises.


Training and Education:

Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on risk management best practices and promote a risk-aware culture within the organization.


Customers, Vendor and Contract Review:

Evaluate the risks associated with customers, third-party vendors, contractors, and business partners, ensuring they align with the organization's risk tolerance.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in risk management and insurance.
  • Continuously review and update risk management strategies and policies to adapt to changing circumstances.


Customer Data Protection

  • Implement and oversee policies to ensure the protection and confidentiality of customer data.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations such as GDPR, etc.


Business Continuity Planning

  • Develop and maintain continuity and disaster recover plans to ensure organizational resilience.
  • Conduct regular tests and drills to ensure readiness and effectiveness of the plan.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in risk management, business, finance, or a related field
  • A Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in risk management, including administering commercial liability claims.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Strong ethical and moral judgment.
  • Certifications, such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) or similar will be a plus.
