The Hospitality Intern plays a vital role in the success of the hospitality program by supporting the Hospitality Manager and Assistant Manager. This part-time internship opportunity primarily focuses on the Event Management and Hospitality side of collegiate sports.

Pay: $14/hr

Hours: varies based on game schedule with limited hours on non-game weeks (about 5-20 hours)

Administrative

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist the Assistant Manager in recruiting, training and managing FANgineers
• Social media (live gameday presence and occasional graphic creation)
• Uniform & electronic equipment management - in season
• Create/Develop & execute Professional Day for current & future FANgineers and students
  
  

Football

• Work alongside another game-day intern for each home game
• Manage 1/2 of all designated premium areas and respective FANgineers and lead suite stocking within Bobby Dodd Stadium
• Oversee all FANgineers on game-day
• Pre-stock West Suites post-game-day
  
  

Men's Basketball

• Rotating with another game-day intern to cover all home games
• Managing designated premium areas within McCamish Pavilion
• Oversee all FANgineers on game-day
• Pre-game prep and set-up and premium area closing
  
  

Baseball

• Rotating with another game-day intern to cover all home games
• Managing designated premium areas within Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium
• Oversee all FANgineers on game-day
• Pre-game prep and set-up and premium area closing
  
  

Special Events In Bobby Dodd Stadium (optional)

• Assist GTAH Managers with event week preparation of premium areas
• Manage assigned premium areas and respective FANgineers within Bobby Dodd Stadium
• Oversee all FANgineers on event-day
• Assist GTAH Managers in flipping all premium areas back to gameday set up post-event

Requirements

Undergraduate college degree preferred (or in progress - at least a 3rd year)

Experience working in the Event Management, Hospitality or Customer Service field

Experience in managing peers and having strong leadership skills while leading by example

Strong communications skills (oral and written)

Ability to think quickly and solve problems under pressure

Outstanding organizational skills

Attention to detail

Team player mentality

Dependable and dedicated work ethic

Availability to work nights, weekends, and some week days

Ability to work all Friday Suite Stockings (6-8 hours), all Saturday Football home games (10-12 hours) & some Sunday re-stocks as needed (3-6 hours)

Ability to work at least 1/2 of men's basketball and baseball games
