Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Research Scientist, Associate to play a crucial role in managing preclinical research across all aspects of drug development. This position is the single point of control responsible for the overall conduct of research in accordance with the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Regulations. The successful candidate will work under the general supervision of the Director and will conduct contractual studies or research projects that are broad in scope and require significant methodological decision-making.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage preclinical research projects, ensuring compliance with FDA GLP Regulations.
  • Conduct and oversee contractual studies or research, making key decisions regarding methodologies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and control for research projects.
  • Ensure all research activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support drug development processes.


Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Toxicology, Biology, Virology, Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences, Immunology, or a related field.
  • Or a directly related field and a minimum of 2 years of directly related research experience.
  • Prior experience working with animal models, including rodents and larger animals such as dogs and non-human primates (NHP).
  • Interest and/or experience in medical countermeasures, particularly related to radiation or infectious diseases.
