Job Description
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Process accounts receivable transactions including invoicing, posting payments, and reconciling customer accounts.
Assist with accounts payable functions such as processing vendor invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling vendor statements.
Monitor aging reports and follow up on past due accounts receivable balances.
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and records related to financial transactions.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
Assist with general accounting tasks and special projects as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and comply with company policies and procedures.
Provide support to the accounting team as necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance role preferred.
Construction background is preferred
Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Other Accounting Software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent Organizational And Time Management Skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
