Steer jobsites to company safety goals in the following measure categories:
DART to TRIR, Good Catches reported rate, First aid case rate, and Training Goals

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Maintain open, honest, and frequent communications with the supervisory and labor staff
Represent the company in the community or industry safety groups and programs, in conjunction with leadership from the Director of Safety & Quality
Safety liaison between clients, subcontractors, and inspectors
Provide proactive safety leadership to:
Anticipate potential problems or issues on jobsites & work with the Director of Safety & Quality to develop solutions
Providing regular proper training to supervisory and field staff, in conjunction with leadership from the Director of Safety & Quality.
Manages the return to work/restricted work duty program in conjunction with leadership from the Director of Safety & Quality
Lead safety and environmental compliance initiatives to ensure that site is always poised and prepared for regulatory audits and inspections.
Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence
Provides safety technical support to project managers for jobsites you oversee
Ensure safety training meets industry standard requirements to enable the staff to perform regular tasks and projects
Conduct new employee safety orientation upon hire
In conjunction with leadership from the Director of Safety & Quality, plan, implement, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs
In conjunction with leadership from the Director of Safety & Quality, plan, implement, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations
Manages all hazard assessment activities:
Conduct site safety meetings, audits, and all safety inspections on jobsites you oversee.
Identify corrective action and implement follow up assessments
Reviews the inspection data to find ways to improve upon safety practices
Manages the regular update of the company safety manual in regards to policy and OSHA compliance
Review and update all monthly site-specific safety plans with project team
In conjunction with leadership from the Director of Safety & Quality, ensure safe equipment operating techniques as well as regular equipment maintenance logs
Train employees in SDS procedures
Ensure safety compliance with signs, posters, barriers, and other materials to properly warn of potential hazards in efforts to prevent such problems
Identify the closest medical facilities and clinics available closest to every project and distribute information to field staff in conjunction with leadership from the Director of Safety & Quality. Including administration of local drug/alcohol testing policy
Accept and review all subcontractor job specific safety programs as well as trying to follow up and make sure the programs are being implemented properly

Education and Experience
5 years of work experience in a construction job site environment
OSHA 510 and CHST certification preferred
Strong computer proficiency is a must, with a knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
Competent person, train-the-trainer and other construction certifications preferred
Excavation and trenching experience preferred
