This position can lead down many paths and various positions throughout recon. Our recon process is superior and more involved to any recon process you’ve experienced. We watch, pay attention to, and dissect every detail of a truck. You can’t walk into Century and be a recon manager without going through the positions, so It will start in the transport office handling incoming and outbound vehicle transportation. Booking truck hauls to get them here in an efficient manner. They check in the trucks on arrival checking for damaged caused in transportation checking it against the condition report from the auction. They will also handle all arbitration claims, dispatching work and dealing with P&B, PDR, Upholstery, and glass vendors. Same as mentioned before, it’s and “office job” but you will be up and down from your desk all day looking at and checking trucks, answering questions from techs, salesman, and other departments. This person must be very curious and willing to look into anything and everything.

As an Automotive Reconditioning Manager you will be responsible for working with the technicians to inspect and diagnose vehicles traded in or bought at auction. You will also work with the parts department to generate complete estimates on these vehicles to determine what work will be performed. You will be responsible for managing all vehicles going through the reconditioning process and their efficiency of being ready to sell. You will also use a recondtioning software to keep other departments aware of vehicles progress through these steps. You will also be responsible for establishing a mainting relationships with vendors. Job Requirements: Two or more years of previous experience as a service advisor and or technician or recon manager. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record. Great attitude with high-energy personality. Excellent customer service skills. Professional appearance and work ethic.
