Quality Engineer - Auditor

Job Description

Will be directly responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management system according to the guidelines set by IATF16949, VDA 6.3, customer specific requirements, as well as the company’s top management. This position will coordinate and supervise all company auditing activities including internal audits, supplier audits, layered process audits, annual product testing audits and customer audits. Must maintain records of all audits along with any actions initiated through auditing and communicate these with management.

Will ensure compliance and control of Quality Management System documentation, created by any department, to IATF16949 standards. This position will work with other departments as necessary to ensure all living documents have been reviewed, updated as needed, and approved for (re-)release.

Coordination, completion, and outcomes of the Quality Management System, Internal, Manufacturing Process, supplier, and customer audits.

Release and control of Quality Management System documentation to ensure compliance with internal and IATF document requirements.

Qualifications

• Education Required: Associate degree or equivalent experience, bachelor’s degree a plus
• Experience Required: IATF16949 Internal Auditor, IATF16949. VDA Standards Auditor, Process Approach Auditing experience
• Professional License or Certificate Requirements: IATF16949/VDA 6.3 Lead Auditor Certification a plus. ISO4500 experience a plus. ISO14000 experience a plus
• Other: Proficient with Excel and web-based applications, detail oriented, strong record keeping abilities, ability to develop relationships, self-driven, good communicator, team player, flexible
