Key Responsibilities: As a Quality Engineer at SMTC, you will lead the charge in delivering top-notch, durable electronics products that meet and exceed customer expectations. Your role encompasses:

• Championing the Voice of the Customer, aligning manufacturing processes and quality systems with customer requirements.
• Ensuring timely response to customer needs, providing data, addressing concerns, and driving swift resolutions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality-related matters.
• Developing comprehensive quality plans, reviewing work instructions, and test procedures to ensure adherence to customer and SMTC quality standards.
• Supporting New Product Introduction, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Initiating Kaizen events based on KPI trends to enhance quality metrics and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborating with suppliers, performing audits, and driving supplier quality improvement.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
• Quality training and certification (e.g., CQE, CQA) is a plus.
• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485 requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with practical application of quality data analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical methods.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong computer skills.
