We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Quality Assurance to join a mid-size team in the Food & Bev industry. As the Director of Quality, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of quality management systems within the consumer goods sector.

The Director of Quality will have the following responsibilities...

• Strategic Quality Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive quality strategy aligned with business objectives to enhance product quality and reliability.
• Quality Assurance Processes: Establish and maintain robust quality assurance processes, including supplier quality management, incoming inspections, in-process inspections, and final product inspections.
• Quality Metrics and Reporting: Define key quality metrics, monitor performance against targets, and provide regular reports to senior management on quality issues, trends, and improvement initiatives.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to integrate quality into all aspects of product development and delivery.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing quality improvement initiatives, conducting root cause analyses, and leading corrective and preventive actions.
• Customer Satisfaction: Champion a customer-centric approach to quality by responding to customer feedback, managing complaints, and ensuring timely resolution of quality issues.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of quality professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to foster a high-performing quality organization.

The Director of Quality should have the following qualifications...

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience (8+ years) in quality management within the consumer goods industry, with a track record of successfully implementing quality initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, etc.) and regulatory requirements relevant to consumer goods.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and levels of the organization.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
• Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE), Quality Auditor (CQA), or similar credentials preferred.
