Purpose of the Position:

The TDRL Contact Team is responsible for generating workflow for the entire TDRL operation by assigning periodic re-exam cases and establishing positive contact with Soldiers. The Contact team: manages a portion of the Army’s Temporary Disability Retirement List (TDRL) in accordance with (IAW) established and internal guidelines. This includes monitoring the whereabouts of the Soldiers, review and update case information, coordinating for periodic medical re-examinations, monitoring timeliness of actions, coordination with pay sources for financial matters, initiating pay suspensions and reinstatement of pay, and carrying out other administrative actions pertaining to TDRL list management.

Position: Quality Control Team Lead – Temporary Retirement Disability List (TDRL)

Welfare stipend in addition to the hourly pay rate.

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, 40 Hours, Full-Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Team Lead (TL) serves as the on-site point of contact for employees, government representative, the contract Program Manager, and the parent company
  • Responsible for the accountability and time keeping for contract staff PDA.
  • Facilitates on/off boarding of contract personnel.
  • Ensures TDRL soldiers are scheduled for ex-examination as required and that all necessary notification and case files are issued three months prior to re-exam
  • Reconciles appointments with the Medical Treatment Facilities monthly
  • Issues Failure to Report Letters within 5 days of notification from MTF and initiates pay suspension actions after the 30-day suspense date if no response is received from soldiers
  • Utilizes all available systems and resources such as DEERS, SHARE, Lexis Nexis, CLEAR, AW2, and ePEB to gather successful contact information on TDRL soldiers.
  • Retrieve current VA Rating Decisions with exams from the Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS) and forward cases to appropriate Physical Evaluation Boards (PEBs) for adjudication.

Minimum Qualifications/Competencies:

  • The contractor shall become acquainted with and comply with all company regulations: government regulations, manuals, and technical documents as applicable
  • Strong reading, writing and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Comptency using basic office software such as Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure with short and conflicting deadlines
  • Maintain high standards of honesty, integrity, trust, openness, and respect for case review applicants, and internal and external organizations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain government security requirements.
