We are looking for a purchasing assistant who is reliable, detail-oriented, and a problem solver to oversee smooth production flow at our overseas manufacturing facilities, manage on-time delivery, achieve cost & inventory imperatives, and provide support to the sales department. The fast-paced environment requires the successful candidate to be flexible and responsive to changes in work demands, persistent while overcoming obstacles, and determined to see issues through to successful completion.
Job Description:
Prepare requisitions, source and coordinate with vendors to obtain product quotes to include price, availability and delivery schedule
Prepare and create purchase orders
Track, monitor, and follow-up all shipments and complete all incoming inspection reports and reconcile receiving /purchasing documentation
Manage various communications with manufacturing facilities, quality assurance, and logistics
Data input for purchasing and operation system(s)
Prepare reports and documents as necessary in a regular and timely manner
Reporting to purchasing manager with daily tasks.
Education and Experience:
Related experience in Logistics, Purchasing, Sales Support or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience working with retail portals (BestBuy, Walmart, Home Depot, etc) PREFERRED.
Required Skills:
Experience with ERP and various reporting systems with the ability to learn quickly
Teamwork approach within the organization to accomplishing goals
High Proficiency in MS Excel, Word
