Project Manager
As Team manager you are responsible for the performance of the teams led by your team leads as well as individual contributors reporting into you. You provide coaching, support and feedback to the team and work with the teams to drive performance and close the projects successfully. Seeing opportunities for organizational transformation and acting upon those, as well as overseeing highly complex programs are in the remit of the team manager role. You are able to translate your knowledge and experience into development opportunities for your team.
Role and responsibilities:

Handles all project escalation management and governance lead functions.
•
Organizational initiative development.

•
Develops and provides feedback to employees.
•
Provides governance coaching to multiple work groups.
•
Serves as a Sponsoring Manager executive point of contact to customers.
•
Ensures business critical projects with multiple custom components and functional areas are led to a successful completion.
•
Assists the T&T project manager to ensure functional and operational goals are communicated within the team.
•
Serves as the executive sponsoring manager for escalated issues.
•
Provide coaching, development and support to project team members and peers.
•
Organizational transformation leader.
•
Oversees highly complex programs.
Skills, knowledge and abilities
Communication
Strong and proactive communication skills, both verbal and written.
Customer
Able to handle escalations and report on the status. Sponsoring manager executive point of contact.
Organization
Strong in time management and setting priorities. Able to guide the team on this.
Analytical
Data validation for projects and project requests, project reporting.
Interpersonal
Ability to coach/mentor and develop project managers and larger groups, result oriented. Familiar with management methodologies to provide coaching and feedback.
Tools
MS Office knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Suite, SharePoint, Adobe, Webex.
Systems
Project management systems for project management and time management, internal client systems.
Education requirements:
Minimum/Preferred
Education level
Minimum
High School Diploma / (GED) / Secondary School GCSE or equivalent
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
Professional certifications:
Preferred
ITIL V4 Foundations or equivalent.
Mandatory
Prince2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent
Additional role requirements
•
10+ years experience in project management role in the IT industry.
•
3-5 years experience managing a team.
Physical requirements
•
No unusual physical requirements.
