Tecton Architects has an immediate opening in our Hartford, CT studio for a Project Architect. The ideal candidate would be an experienced professional with a background in architecture who is passionate about creating a positive impact through design. This is a full-time, hybrid position, with employees splitting the work week between our Hartford studio and remote work.
Responsibilities:
You will be an integral part of each project as you work closely with the entire team to deliver thoughtful, quality and conscientious work for our clients. Responsibilities will include:
Collaborating on and contributing to project design development, documentation, and construction administration
Performing daily design, BIM modeling, programming, and technical development of a project.
Investigating, evaluating, and recommending design solutions that best meet client needs
Independently applying architectural design concepts and producing materials to convey those concepts to the team, client and contractor
Qualifications:
3-10 years of experience in a professional setting are required. This requirement may be satisfied by a range of professionals – from experienced Job Captain or Project Architect to recent graduates with beneficial involvement in architectural internships and other work placement programs
A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is required. A Master’s Degree in Architecture or a related field is preferred
Architectural Licensure is preferred but not required
Sustainability accreditation is preferred
A minimum of 3 years of experience using Revit in combined academic and professional settings is required. Advanced Revit knowledge is preferred
A portfolio that demonstrates a high level of skill in design thinking and presentation media is desirable
