Redwood Resources is a full-service professional outreach and marketing consulting firm located in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. We provide procurement, equity, and community services to public agencies, construction firms, professional architectural/engineering firms, and real estate developers. Our specialization lies in the development, implementation, and follow-through of community engagement and outreach programs in relation to capital improvement construction projects and environmental construction and remediation projects. We prioritize compliance utilization of vetted minority, disadvantaged, or women-owned firms while working to build their capacity.


This role may start part time leading to full time.

Role Description

The Project Manager for our Community Outreach projects and programs will play a pivotal role in managing and implementing community outreach initiatives and projects. This individual will oversee AND implement project planning, resource management, documentation, reporting, and successful execution (implementation) of various programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with a passion for community engagement and project management.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Project Management:

- Develop and manage and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.

- Coordinate and allocate resources, including team members, to meet project objectives and deadlines.

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.

- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating them as necessary.

- This may also include operations management for the overall team and admin.


2. Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

- Conduct regular team meetings to track progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment with project goals.

- Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them achieve their individual and collective objectives.

- Manage and report KPIs.

- Participate in Management meetings and lead Level 10 Meetings and other meetings as needed.


3. Community Outreach:

- Develop and implement community outreach strategies to engage and build relationships with target communities.

- Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and events to gather input and feedback on projects.

- Act as a liaison between the organization and community stakeholders, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.

- Ensure the core values and company messaging is proactive, positive and reinforces our company culture.


4. Documentation and Reporting:

- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant records.

- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to team members and stakeholders.

- Produce detailed reports on project progress, performance metrics, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.


5. Program Oversight and Implementation:

- Monitor the implementation of projects and programs, ensuring they meet established goals and objectives.

- Evaluate the effectiveness of outreach efforts and project activities, making recommendations for improvement as needed.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Community Development, Public Administration, Communications, Marketing or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

- Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, community outreach, or a similar role.

- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse community groups and stakeholders.

- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Asana, Microsoft Suite).

- Proficiency in Google suite of products

- Familiarity with community engagement best practices and methodologies.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Commitment to the organization’s mission and values, with a passion for community service and development.


Working Conditions:


- Primarily hybrid with increased in-office-based later this year, with regular travel to community sites and project locations.

- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to attend community meetings and events.
