Kegman Inc., a service-disabled veteran and women-owned small business headquartered in Melbourne, Florida is seeking a Program Director to define, establish, and lead our Program Management Office (PMO). Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this person will oversee a group of program and project managers with responsibility for the life of their projects regarding planning, quality, budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a highly organized individual with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changes in a rapidly growing and evolving organization.

The Program Director will play a pivotal role in shaping Kegman's future. Partnering with Kegman Company Leadership, they will steer our transformation initiatives over the next several years, ensuring our competitive advantages are maintained and grown through modernizing and standardizing our program management functions. This includes building and maintaining strong relationships with our government clients while driving business growth through identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

We are looking for a self-starting individual with exceptional relationship-building skills, an executive presence, and the ability to collaborate, manage complexity, and drive results.

JOB TASKS

Create and drive the direction, strategy and reporting of project management competency for the organization. This includes managing and directing PMO activities, developing MAC & IDIQ Task Order opportunities, and directing Task Order Project Managers.

Create budgets for project completion and monitor costs to ensure they meet or exceed bid schedule, cost, and performance expectations. This will include initiating and setting goals for programs based on Kegman’s strategic objectives.

Plan programs from start to finish, including identifying processes, deadlines, and milestones. Make presentations to company executives and board members concerning different phases of each program/project.

Oversee and manage the production and maintenance of Contract Project Deliverables

Act as a central hub for project management: provide oversight, best practices, project management systems (including a document repository), standards, guidance, and tools, while providing advisory and coaching support to PM staff and stakeholders.

Work closely with Kegman’s SVP of Strategic Initiatives to proactively seek out new business opportunities through targeted research (GovWin/SAM), networking, and attending industry events. Assist with building, maintaining, and managing Kegman’s business pipeline and lead the development of proposals and team reviews for a variety of different contract vehicles and customers to include GSA Schedules, IDIQs, SBIRs, and BAA responses.

Support Direct Charge Position Classification, Position Descriptions, and Pay band development.

Required Education / Experience / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or communications. Bachelor’s degrees in relevant engineering or scientific fields will be considered if program management experience is included
  • At least 8 years of experience related to the duties described above, plus leadership, management, and supervisory skills with a minimum of 4-5 years direct PMO experience
  • Ability to proactively lead collaborative efforts across all business lines
  • Experience in establishing and reviewing Project Management procedures and processes that will enable the execution of successful projects
  • Ability to apply the disciplines of project management and industry knowledge into both customer-focused and internal business management projects
  • Experience managing a multi-functional team; experience leading a PMO and executing large complex projects
  • Experience with Business Development, Capture Management, and Proposal Management
  • Knowledge of Business Management and Administrative processes and procedures
  • Broad experience in the Government Services industry and its customary business practices
  • Proficiency in Project Management experience and training, Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing various government contract types, including IDIQs and GSA Schedules
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with experience using SharePoint and MS Teams
  • Willingness to explore and leverage new technologies and digital tools

DESIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, or equivalent, plus experience
  • Experience using Unanet Accounting Software for project management tracking, travel, and expense reporting

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must complete and pass an employment drug test.
