Position Overview:
The Product Engineer is a vital role in our mission to design and develop cutting-edge products that improve the lives of our customers. This position will contribute to the creation of innovative solutions in the field of mobile living and report to the Director of Product Development. Relocation assistance provided.
Duties:
Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new and innovative products, from concept to production. Lead in the design, prototyping, and testing phases.
Design and Prototyping: Utilize CAD software and prototyping tools to create detailed product designs, 3D models, and prototypes for testing and evaluation. Analyze existing product designs and propose improvements to enhance functionality, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
Testing and Validation: Lead in designing and conducting product tests to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards. Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of design specifications, test plans, and project progress. Prepare technical documentation, including drawings and specifications.
Cost Analysis: Lead cost analysis and feasibility studies to optimize product designs for cost efficiency without compromising quality.
Quality Assurance: Assist and support the development and implementation of quality control processes to ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and lead opportunities for process improvement and innovation, contributing to the company's culture of continuous learning and development.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, manufacturing, quality, and marketing, to ensure the successful launch.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Prior experience with refrigeration and/or climate control
Preference for individuals with experience working in a global environment
Demonstrated prior strong problem-solving skills and a passion for product design and development
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and other engineering tools
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards personal and professional development
Demonstrated prior engineering experience in product experience and design
Residential appliance experience preferred.
