Product Engineer - Frontend & Fullstack

Samaya AI is building knowledge discovery tools for domain experts using AI and Large Language Models. Our platform enables users to answer complex questions and uncover hidden insights from large sets of knowledge-intensive documents.

Join our team as an experienced Frontend / Fullstack Engineer and play a critical role in shaping the future of professional knowledge access. In this role, you'll develop cutting-edge AI products designed to address the complex challenges. Your work will focus on creating seamless, intuitive, and impactful web applications, driving the evolution of our product suite.

Your Opportunity

• Lead the development of web applications, from conception through deployment, ensuring they meet our high standards for performance, accessibility, and user experience.
• Design and implement APIs and services that power our applications, working closely with backend teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
• Actively monitor and debug applications in production, identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members, including product managers, designers, and data scientists, to deliver innovative features and products.
• Champion the continuous improvement of our engineering processes, advocating for best practices in code quality, deployment, and maintenance.
  
  

Your first 3 months

• Become intimately familiar with our product architecture, tech stack, and development processes, contributing to ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Successfully launch at least one major feature or improvement, receiving positive feedback from stakeholders and demonstrating a significant impact on user experience or product performance.
• Establish yourself as a key team player, capable of navigating the complexities of a startup environment while delivering consistent, high-quality work.
• Actively engage in learning and mentoring within the team, becoming a "go-to" technical advisor.
  
  

What you'll bring

• 5+ years of experience of building and shipping scalable features across frontend and backend
• Expertise in front-end development, with advanced skills in React, TypeScript, and modern web technologies, ensuring the creation of engaging user interfaces.
• Solid experience across the full development stack, including Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• A passion for building products that delight users, with a strong product orientation and the ability to prioritize features based on user value.
• The ability to quickly learn and adopt new languages and tools, demonstrating flexibility and a growth mindset.
• A track record of independence, taking full ownership of tasks and projects, with a commitment to delivering high-quality and impactful work.
