Senior Manager of Shared Services at Simulab Corporation

We are looking for a Product Design Engineer who will be primarily responsible for designing and coordinating product development projects from product ideation through production release. The candidate will also be responsible for updates to existing products and provide manufacturing support when necessary. Simulab is looking for a real go-getter that works well on their own and in a team environment. The candidate must be able to tackle multiple unrelated projects at a time in an organized fashion. They must also be comfortable collaborating with internal engineers, casting technicians, and external vendors.

Candidates must show a hands-on passion for their work and communicate their ideas and concepts both verbally and visually. They must make sound decisions in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment while receiving feedback from medical advisors to meet project milestones.

The Role:

The Product Design Engineer needs to be very entrepreneurial and will wear many hats. You will need to tackle a range of problems in various domains: organic 3D CAD, mold design, mimic/simulate human anatomy, fluid system design, custom electrical circuits, etc. To meet your project goals, you are expected to be organized and have the determination and endurance to overcome any curveballs that come your way. Designing products is a fun and rewarding job, but it still comes with paperwork. You will be responsible for creating all production work instructions, as well as develop all the BOM’s and track all vendor-supplied parts for your designs. The hired candidate will soon find out that continuous learning is part of the daily life at Simulab and that before long, you will find yourself the resident expert in casting and mold making materials, additive manufacturing technologies, and tool/mold design. Join our team and help save lives with new and innovative products that train medical personnel worldwide!
