Procurement Supervisor - Ophthalmology

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of Purchasing experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience organizing workflow to accomplish established objectives, training staff, and evaluating staff effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of University and Federal purchasing and equipment policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the business ethics connected to the accountability and confidentiality involved in processing and compiling financial data, and knowledge of the organizational hierarchy and policies and procedures established around such responsibilities.
  • Experience in high volume computerized accounts payable.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Intermediate level skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, as well as ability to learn new business process software applications (PeopleSoft and Access)
  • Interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with the team, faculty, staff, students, vendors, and the public.
  • Skill in writing concise, logical and grammatically correct analytical reports to explain financial analysis.
  • Ability to effectively handle pressure and maintain composure in stressful situations.

Preferred

  • Demonstrated knowledge of University and UCLA financial and business policies and procedures and experience in UCLA general accounting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of campus detail general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
