- As Procurement Excellence Manager at American Airlines, you will be instrumental in transforming our procurement operations. This role demands a visionary with proven experience in procure-to-pay, preferably Coupa, best-in-breed technologies across our source-to-pay process, and a strategic approach to procurement.
- The role is a part of the Procurement Strategy team within our Finance division.

- Lead and manage procurement projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Develop and implement data analysis strategies to optimize procurement activities and supplier performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement strategies are aligned with company objectives.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques to forecast market trends and inform strategic decisions.
- Provide guidance on procurement best practices and emerging technologies across our Source to Pay.
- Report on procurement metrics and performance, presenting insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Facilitate supplier enablement by developing strategies that streamline supplier onboarding and management.
- Create and maintain e-catalogues, ensuring they reflect current offerings and pricing.
- Develop sourcing templates to standardize procurement practices across the organization.
- Focus on automation and digitization within the procure-to-pay cycle to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Utilize advanced analytics to create dashboards and define Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) KPIs that track and measure procurement performance.
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Strategy, Finance, Business Management, or other related field
- 4 years of experience in source-to-pay, contract life cycle management, and spend analytics, including negotiation, compliance, and optimization
- Advanced degree in Supply Chain or other related field
- Experience in supplier enablement and e-catalogues creation
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and influence cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in creating sourcing templates and a strong focus on automation and digitization
- Skilled in creating dashboards and establishing CPO KPIs
- Passion for sustainability and sutainable sourcing practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
